Apple Candle Holder

For something a little different but keeping in with food, why not try these little fun decorative apple candles to light up the dinner table. These can be made with green or red apples, depending on what colour you like to match with the setting.

Place a tea light around the top part of the apple, gently use a sharp knife and run it along the base of the tea light candle, cutting in to the apple. Remove the tea light, dig a little deeper with the knive until you have cut deep enough to fit the candle inside. Once this has been completed, squeeze lemon juice over the inside of the apple to stop them from browning. Place in the fridge until your ready to use.

In the past I have kept the apples for 3 days but after this, they will start to curl at the edges and brown inside.
